Rice farmers get bulk of Japan's support
Japan has given Kenya a Sh617.6 million grant to finance two projects meant to improve farming and access to clean water.
Some Sh480.7 million from the grant will support a special programme to be known as 2KR, which targets to help poor farmers in the Mwea irrigation scheme gain access to key inputs and machinery such as tractors, thrashers, reapers and rice planters.
