Speakers tout agriculture's place in Illinois' economy

With international population growth dependent on food, Bob Flider sees Central Illinois as a solution to the problem.

“The future continues to be able to feed the world, and Illinois can help with that,” said Flider, director of the state's Department of Agriculture.

Flider was surrounded Tuesday evening by a collection of Central Illinois farmers and agriculture industry members for the inaugural Christian County Agriculture Fair's speaking series.
