Storms benefit pumpkin farmers
At the end of September, pumpkin farmers start crossing their fingers, hoping the cool, crisp air will draw locals to the pumpkin patches around town.
“We like it to be 55, 60 degrees and feel fallish,” said Scott Lankford, owner of The Pumpkin Patch at Bell Street and 45th Avenue. “Gets everybody in the pumpkin mood.”
