Traces of pork found in beef products
The Food Safety Authority of Ireland said yesterday it had found traces of pork in beef products but said it never tested halal meats.
A spokeswoman said: "We checked for pork DNA in the 27 burgers but none of them were halal. Halal meat would come from halal stores rather than supermarkets."
