Tragedy highlights the dangers faced by farmers
The tragedy that cost the lives of three members of the Spence family in Co Down last Saturday evening highlights once again how dangerous farming can be as a profession.
Twenty two people died in farming-related accidents in the republic last year, making it the most dangerous employment sector. So far this year, 14 people have died in farm accidents.
