We are off with a bang into the first county show of the 2015 season.

Of course there are the usual top arena attractions such as our scurry drivers, racing each other or taking on the might of the Isuzu D-max in our Machine v Beast challenge (TBC). The horseboarders are back, and there are the usual demonstrations of gun dogs, ferrets and birds of prey. You will also get the chance to meet and greet our pack of local hounds. We are also hoping for a magnificant team of shire horses – TBC

For dog lovers we have all the usual favourites in the popular ‘World of Dogs’ area, with dog shows for terriers at the terrier show, lurcher racing, and everyone else at the fun dog show! You can run your gunfalconry village dog in a multi scurry, or even have a go at a working gun dog test with him? (run by Blythe Gun Dog Club) Or maybe agility? And if your training’s not up to either of those, why not ask one of top handler, Anthea Shelley of Brockhills Gundogs for some advice at the gun dog clinic? Come and meet some more unusual breeds in the minor breeds tent – and watch them demonstrating how they work in the gun dog clinic arena.

The birds of prey will be back: bigger and better than ever. Don’t miss these magnificant birds, either in the Countryside Arena or up close and personal LivingHeritage Country Showafterwards.

Then there are the hamsters, the horses, the hawks, the hot dogs… ; try shooting with air guns or bows and arrow; amusements for the children and a bar tent for the adults. You can have a go at fishing or ferret racing, painting a pot or paint balling a friend.

There’s something for everyone at Thoresby Country Show, and we can’t wait to get the 2015 season underway!

Join us for our first Country Show of 2015 at the magnificant Thoresby Hall, in Ollerton, Nottinghamshire. Gates open 10am
