Amey subsidiary wins United Utilities service contract

United Utilities has extended Enterprise, a subsidiary of Amey UK, a five year contract to maintain its water and wastewater services in the North West of England.

The contract includes carrying out maintenance works on behalf of United Utilities to its 76,000km of sewer pipes and 42,000km of clean water infrastructure, private sewers, water diversions and network enhancements.

The multi-million pound contract is for the water firms 2015-2020 investment programme (asset management period number six).

Steve Fraser, Managing Director of United Utilities said, “Enterprise will play a vital role everyday for our 3 million customers keeping the pipes and pumps of our water and wastewater system working. We have a significant amount of work to maintain and improve many parts of our network over the next 5-years and beyond, whilst keeping water bills affordable”.
