It was an excellent day for McCormick dealer Bryan Hoggarth Ltd at the Carnforth-based dealer’s Annual Show, with local farmers taking a great deal of interest in the big line up of latest McCormick models.

The event brought together examples of most of the new ranges that now make up the new McCormick 'X' generation, from the 65-107hp X4 Series livestock tractors, through the new 111-133hp mid-range X6 Series that this year will be extended to 140hp, up to the 143-212hp X7 Pro Drive tractors with four- and six-cylinder engines.

McCormick X7 Pro Drive tractors are progressively replacing New Holland machines in Hoggarth's large Hog Hire fleet. Also on display was a tractor from the new McCormick X6L line-up - three long-wheel base tractors with a simpler spec but a number of features improved over the old MTX tractors and power outputs from 143hp to 176hp.

A prominent 'Sold' sticker went on to the windscreen of the McCormick X4 Series tractor early in the day as a customer signed up for the all-new machine, which comes with a very attractive cab that not only provides decent space inside but also has large windows giving excellent all-round visibility.

The new X4 comes with a choice of synchro shuttle and power shuttle transmissions, different pto configurations and a choice of hydraulic pump outputs, so buyers can pick and choose a specification that meets their particular needs.

It's a handy tractor for yard work thanks to its size and nippy manoeuvrability but also a very capable machine out in the field.

The sales and service team at Bryan Hoggarth Ltd were supported on the day by Ray Spinks, sales director and general manager at McCormick distributor AgriArgo UK, Chris Hall, AgriArgo service technician, and Phil Maw, McCormick northern area sales manager.
