Argentina-Cruise Liners stock up in Buenos Aires.

The port of Puerto Madryn in Patagonia, is expecting 43 cruise ships this holiday seasons, carrying 45,000 passengers.

The cruise ships all stock up with meat and vegetables in Argentina, which has become a large niche market.

There will be 100 cruise ships visiting Buenos Aires this season carrying 200,000 passengers.

Some of the larger vessels that have already visited are the "Celebrity Infinity" 294 meters, and the "Norwegian Sun" 250 meters long.


The first vessel arrived this year was the Russian flagged "Professor Molchanov".

The passengers spend approximately US$80 per day each on food and souvenirs
