FISHING AID OF US$20 MILLION.
Fish exports last year from Argentina, were 540,000 tons and the industry employs 50,000 people.

The revenue exceeded US$1.1 billion .
The government is now offering financial incentives, for the industry to value add on the fish product in Argentina, rather than export raw material to be value added overseas.
The decision was implemented last Friday and takes effect immediately, with subsidies of between 1% and 10% of market value of the finished product.
