Banbury rural consultants expand
A well established firm of Banbury chartered surveyors is going from strength to strength as they expand their team to meet a growing demand for rural property and management services.
Fisher German, based on South Bar, have appointed senior surveyor Jonathan Perks to join their busy rural consultancy department. He has joined the firm from Carter Jonas in Oxford where he worked as a rural surveyor for 4 ½ years.
His extensive rural surveying experience includes rural estate and land management, valuations/sale of land and farms, HS2, compulsory purchase, landlord and tenancy services and farm purchasing. He will be part of a 16 strong team that has over 30 years experience of providing professional services to land and property owners in Banbury and the surrounding area.
His appointment has come at a time of increased activity within the local rural economy. The implications of the recently approved HS2 rail link, coupled with changes to other farm related schemes, such as CAP reform, environmental stewardship and Feed-in-Tariffs have lead to a surge in people seeking professional advice.
Jonathan will also be working closely with the firms sales team which has dealt with some significant property sales over the last 12 months. This includes the sale of 309 acres of arable land at Beachampton for in excess of the £1.9m guide, a property sold in Downington within thirteen days of commencing marketing, and accepting an offer for the Bragborough Hall Estate in Northamptonshire which has a guide of £7m.
They have also dealt with an increasing number of renewable energy projects, HS2 compensation claims, and the sale of a large residential development site for 82 houses in Towcester valued in the region of £8 million.
Paul Clayson of Fisher German comments Jonathan will be a real asset to the Banbury office. He has significant experience in this region, including Oxfordshire, the Chilterns, Warwickshire and the south east and will be continuing with the hard work we have been doing here and strengthening our farming and land management operation.
Fisher Germans expansion also continues nationally as they recently merged with leading Chester surveyors Denton Clark, bringing their total office network to 14.
