Cobb Germany strengthens central European technical team

Two new technical appointments have been made by Cobb Germany to strengthen support for customers in central Europe.

An experienced poultry veterinarian, Dr László Körösi has been appointed market manager for Hungary, while Piotr Czaplicki joins Cobb Germany as technical manager in Poland.

"We very much believe in giving our customers high quality direct technical and sales service," says James Truscott, director of Cobb Germany. "We are extremely proud to welcome László Körösi who will also be involved in sales, and Piotr Czaplicki who is concentrating on broiler parent stock, to our team of experienced specialists working in our market area of 20 countries.

"Their knowledge will be invaluable in helping our customers achieve the very best economic results from the Cobb products."

Mr Körösi obtained a veterinary degree, and then a specialist poultry veterinary degree, at Veterinary University, Budapest and has worked in the poultry industry for 30 years with international breeding companies and with manufacturers of vaccines and natural growth promoters. Three years ago he founded a veterinary consultancy, AgriAL Bt, which has contracts servicing poultry health products and diagnostic kits in Hungary.

Mr Czaplicki studied poultry science at the Agriculture Academy in Olsztyn and also business management at the University of Warmiass Mazury. Four years ago he started working for a leading independent hatchery in Poland, becoming responsible for 150,000 broiler breeders — 90 per cent Cobb 500. With his technical service role for Cobb Germany he is working closely with Ireneusz Rosada and sales manager Aldona van Krevel in developing Cobb in the Polish market.
