Countrywide Wyevale partnership announced

Countrywide and Wyevale have today announced a trading partnership which will see Countrywide opening stand-alone concessions in two Wyevale garden centres with plans in place for a further roll out in 2008.

In Wyevale's Thatcham and Bridgemere garden centres, Countrywide will have dedicated store areas from which it will retail a selection of its pet, equestrian and smallholder products, in areas complementary to the existing Wyevale ranges and further widening the range of products and services offered.

"The synergy between Wyevale and Countrywide is a strong one," explains John Hardman, Countrywide's Managing Director. "Our Countrywide customer demographic appeals to Wyevale and vice versa, and the partnership potentially delivers an expanded customer base to both retailers. Both businesses operate from out of town locations and work closely with suppliers to give customers wide ranges and product choice at competitive prices."

"We will be selling pet, equestrian, and clothing ranges in these stores, supported by knowledgeable staff in store who can offer relevant, expert advice," adds Garry Wharmby, Countrywide's Head of Retail. "Customers visiting the stores can then also view the wider ranges sold by Countrywide on our website, where on-line purchases have direct home delivery."
