Cracking results for Clarence court at the Pig and Poultry marketing Awards 2008

Speciality egg producer Clarence Court is celebrating two triumphs at the 2008 British Pig and Poultry Marketing Awards. The awards, which took place at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire on Wednesday 14th May, saw Clarence Court win 'Egg Producer of the Year' in the Marks and Spencer 'Cut Above' category and the ABN 'Product Innovation Award for Food'.

Partnered by ABN and presented by the Royal Agricultural Society of England, the British Pig and Poultry Fair plays host to over 250 exhibitors from the egg, poultry meat and pig meat industry. The biennial event aims to help producers and the whole food supply chain meet and adapt to the rapidly changing face of food and farming.

Commended for its Braddock White Duck eggs in the 'Egg Producer of the Year' award, Clarence Court was also praised for its seasonal additions, which include bantam and pheasant eggs and a luxury egg selection box that features one Cornish goose egg, two Braddock White duck eggs, two pheasant eggs and three 'Free To Fly' Quails eggs.

"To win one award is exciting but to win two is unbelievable," says Clarence Court Director Lisa Rowe. "We are absolutely delighted that the Pig and Poultry Marketing Awards has rewarded the team and all our producers for their hard work over the past year. We have had some great coups in the last twelve months - from ostrich eggs launched exclusively into Waitrose to the introduction of two alpacas to safeguard the flock at our Special Breeds Farm in Camborne. We look forward to an even more successful and innovative 2009."
