Duchy of Cornwall is the start of NFU
The CAP health-check, SPS payments, bovine TB and the recent TRIG tenancy reform were all issues up for discussion when the NFU met with the keeper of the records for the Duchy of Cornwall Bertie Ross.
The gathering was the first in a series of autumn meetings with landlords giving members the chance to raise issues concerning them.
NFU Deputy President Meurig Raymond said: "It is important we meet with the institutional landlords to not only let them know our concerns and that of our members but also so that we can hear what problems are affecting landlords.
"It was clear from our meeting the delays to last year's SPS affected the entire agricultural community, not just tenants, and it will be some time before the industry recovers from that."
