EU referendum discussion at Carmarthenshire NFU Cymru meeting

Carmarthenshire members will get the opportunity to discuss the upcoming EU Referendum with NFU Cymru Assembly Adviser, Huw Thomas, at the next Carmarthenshire NFU Cymru county meeting on Tuesday, 16 February 2016 at the White Hart Inn, Llandeilo.

The meeting will start at 7.30pm and will include a political outlook from Huw Thomas. He will provide an update on the political landscape, covering the forthcoming National Assembly election as well as the topical EU Referendum.

Huw is the first point of contact for relations between NFU Cymru and elected members of the National Assembly for Wales. Inevitably much of the work includes detailed lobbying and briefing on individual policies. The work also complements the Parliamentary lobbying activity of NFU Cymru in providing additional briefs to Welsh MPs and MEPs.

Garry Williams, Carmarthenshire NFU Cymru County Chairman said, “We are extremely grateful to Huw Thomas for agreeing to come and speak at the meeting, the National Assembly elections and the EU Referendum are both issues that will affect us long into the future, so we must be well informed before casting our votes. The meeting is open to all members and I hope we get a good turnout.”
