Electis high performance recognised
Gowan Comércio, owners of the active ingredient zoxamide, is pleased that the potato fungicide Electis, marketed as Aderio in France, has been duly recognised by the prestigious Arvalis Institute and is considered amongst the top three potato late blight fungicides
"Financed by French farmers, Arvalis is a national research institute involved in applied research and agronomy in agriculture. It operates from 35 sites throughout France and employs the expertise of over 300 scientists. One of its key roles is to assess product performance and this year Electis (or Aderio as it is known in France) has been given the highest rating for low and high disease pressure and also the highest rating for tuber blight protection. This means that Electis is considered by the Institute to be one of the three best late blight fungicides, along with Ranman (cyazofamid) and Revus (mandipropamid)," explains John Edmonds, European Technical Manager for Gowan Comércio.
John also says that Electis was awarded the highest rating for rainfastness, with a three star rating on a one to three star scale, and the highest rating for Alternaria, too. "Electis was certainly performing well at the recent Potato Blight Open Day at Eurofins in the East Midlands. With a different mode of action, unique activity on zoospores, strong foliar and tuber blight activity and up to ten applications allowed per crop, Electis is a product that can easily be integrated into any blight control programme."
