European Commission launched new Organic Farming Campaign
The European Commission has launched the European Union's new Organic Farming Campaign and has announced a competition to develop a new organic farming logo at a press conference hosted by the European Commission at the Foire de Libramont, a major agricultural fair.
The Commission has unveiled the new multilingual website for organic farming http://www.organic-farming.europa.eu, including an electronic toolbox that provides free marketing materials for professionals throughout the entire food and farming sector in 22 languages.
The campaign has been launched within the framework of the European Action Plan for Organic Food and Farming.
With the slogan: "Organic farming. Good for nature, good for you", the promotional campaign aims at informing consumers about the meaning and benefits of organic farming and food production.
