Even if it is determined that cattle, not badgers, are the primary cause of transmission of this disease, the farming industry is absolutely determined to kill badgers. They're the best scapegoat they've got.

TB has been traced as moving from Dorset to Cumbria. Cattle move that far between farms; badgers do not.
Farmers must accept that cattle movements are the primary cause of transmission; not badgers.

There has been no sense of urgency to control TB in Wales, or England. The N Pembs control scheme is good news, but the need is to implement it as quickly as possible, and to accurately monitor the results. If it works, it needs to be replicated, and there will be many badger lovers who will question the results. So testing procedures and recording methods need to be water-tight.
