Farmers Strip for Housewives’ Choice

Harrogate based farm underwriters AIUA (Agricultural Insurance Underwriting Agencies Ltd) enjoyed enormous success at this years' Great Yorkshire Show, with their new event Housewives

Choice.

Sponsors AIUA hailed the new sponsored event an enormous success. Fiona Movely Marketing Manager of the Show organiser Yorkshire Agricultural Society commented, "The Housewives' Choice thrilled the crowd and was certainly a popular part of the Show. Not only was it fun to watch, but it gave a greater understanding of the value of British livestock and farming."

The competition designed to have an overall fun theme took six housewives from the audience to judge each breed society. It then gave commentator Mike Keeble of the National Beef Association the perfect opportunity to entertain and educate the public in farming, livestock, especially the importance of our own native breeds and topical issues affecting agriculture.

David Murray Wells Executive Chairman of AIUA presented all the ladies with bouquets and rosettes. Mr Murray Wells remarked, "Everyone got into the spirit of the competition and some did more than most to attract the attention of the Housewives who were judging.

We are looking forward to see how far the farmers will go next year!"
