Farmers call for more water

Southern Tasmania’s Craigbourne Dam has failed, and farmers in the Coal River are not only concerned about when it will recover, but how the region’s future needs will be met.

The dam’s about one per cent full, and producers are already lobbying Hobart Water to repeat this year’s release of extra town supplies to the valley.
