Farmers set to discuss CAP reform
CAP reform proposals will be the subject of discussion at the next meeting of Carmarthenshire NFU Cymru members set to take place on Monday, 19 March 2012.
During the meeting, to be held at the Boars Head Hotel, Lammas Street, Carmarthen, at 7.30pm, details will be provided on the recently published CAP Reform proposals and some of the main issues that could impact most on Welsh farmers. Local members will have the opportunity to feed in their views to help inform the Union’s response to the Welsh Government’s current CAP Reform post 2013 consultation. NFU Cymru will also outline how it will represent members’ interests to the Governments in Cardiff, Westminster and Brussels throughout the CAP Reform negotiations.
Gareth Richards, the newly elected Chairman for NFU Cymru in Carmarthenshire said, ’This meeting is open to all members and I do hope we will get a good turnout. Please also encourage your friends and neighbours to come along.’
