Firestone go the extra mile at Cereals

Firestone will be offering visitors to their stand (816) at Cereals a free extended tyre warranty when they specify Firestone tyres on four Massey Ferguson models.

As part of an on-going educational campaign, Firestone will also be offering advice and tips to farmers and contractors regarding their tyre usage and any problems they may have. Staff will be on hand to trouble-shoot individual issues whether they be with a Firestone tyre or not.

Firestone's Marketing Manager, Barry Coleman commented, "Although tyres may be an 'afterthought' compared to the lengthy consideration and research that farmers might put into buying a tractor, correct tyre selection and maintenance can have a huge impact on performance, not to mention cost. Tyre purchase is a necessary evil, but following some simple advice can mean that your tyres will last longer, and tyre costs will reduce."

Barry continues, "We have been adopting a number of measures to pass on general advice to farmers and contractors to make them more tyre-aware. Gone are the days when one tyre suits all tasks; in order to maximise productivity, it is imperative that the right tyre is selected for the appropriate task.
