Geothermal Live! UK’s biggest ground source heat pump show
The Ground Source Heat Pump Association and Mining Communications Ltd, publishers of GeoDrilling International, are organising a major Conference and Exhibition, Geothermal Live!, as part of the GeoDrilling event being held at the East of England Showground, Peterborough on 30th April and 1st May.
The event will be an excellent opportunity for architects, building service specifiers, developers, energy managers, local authorities, designers, drillers and industry members to share best practice and experience and hear from some major players about the regulations and initiatives that impact on the ground source heat pump industry.
Speakers include major organisations such as Defra, the Environment Agency, Micropower Council, Arup, E.ON, the Institute of Domestic Heating and Environmental Engineers plus many more.
Installations of Ground Source Heat Pumps (GSHPs) are expected to grow by over 100% this year. Already well established in parts of North America, Continental Europe and Scandinavia the technology is now a viable alternative to traditional heating systems in the UK. Ground Source Heat Pumps have a valuable place in the strategies for significant carbon reduction and in helping to meet the Government's renewable energy and carbon reduction targets.
The themes for the conference sessions are wide ranging and include:
• How Ground Source Heat Pumps Fit into the Government's Plan
• Procuring and Specifying a Ground Source Heat Pump System
• Applications for Heat Pumps
• Heating System Design and Heat Pumps
• Lessons Learnt from the GSHP Process
• Thermal Response Testing
• Out of the Ground
• The Future of Ground Source Heat Pump Installations
• Heat Exchange Piles
