EXPORTS TO RUSSIA.

The Dutch Ministry of Agriculture have issued permits to livestock traders, sending live pigs to Russia.

There was serious doubt that this was going to happen, however there is no legal reason for the permits not to be issued, according to a spokesman for the government.

Animal Rights activists, have been trying to outlaw the trade with no success.

The government of Holland, is only to well aware of the problems that activists have caused, in relation to Holland’s imports of live calves.

The pigs are to be transported by road and must adhere to all EU regulations, in relation to the transportation of livestock.
