Interfarm appoints new Business Development Manager
Stewart Woodhead has been appointed Business Development Manager for Interfarm UK Ltd., the agricultural supply company.
"We are delighted that Stewart is joining us at such an exciting time" said John Martin, managing director for Interfarm.
"Stewart is a well-qualified, highly experienced and technically competent manager who has enjoyed a successful career in sales and technical with a leading crop protection company. In particular we welcome his wide experience and expertise and we are sure he will add significantly to our continuing success."
Woodhead has fifteen years experience working in the agrochemical industry in the UK.
Since gaining a BSc (Hons) in Ecology and Agricultural Biology from the University of Hertfordshire, he continued his higher education at the Scottish Agricultural College, Aberdeen with a post-graduate diploma in Crop Protection.
He started his career with BASF in their research and development centre as a Development Agronomist, focusing on European and UK registration trials.
He then moved to business development as an Agronomy Officer, dealing with all aspects of technical support for the sales team and their customers. He was promoted to Agronomy Manager within the sales team, dealing with all commercial and technical aspects of the UK crop protection business, including product introductions.

"There is a lot happening in the company, not least of which is an exciting pipeline of products as a consequence of our close affiliation with Sumitomo Chemical Company.
