Japan-Nippon Meats move into China.
CHINA - JOINT VENTURE IN MEAT TRADE.
The Chinese meat processing giant, Henan Luohe Shineway Industry Group, is to join forces with Japanese Nippon Ham Group in a large chicken farm.
Building work on the RMB 1.15 billion project is expected to start in the first half of this year accordign to a report in China Knowledgeand will go into production in 2010.
It is estimated that Shineway will achieve sales of RMB 3 billion per year when the project is operational.
Nippon Ham is reported to be providing the technology while Shineway will be in charge of the company and sell the chicken products under its own brand.
