Jari Rautjärvi Appointed Vice President, Managing Director of Valtra EAME
Jari Rautjärvi has been appointed Vice President, Managing Director of Valtra for AGCO EAME, effective immediately. Located at Valtra's tractor manufacturing facility in Suolahti, Finland and AGCO's new European Headquarters in Schaffhausen, Switzerland, he will be responsible for the management and development of all of Valtra's operations in Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
Jari Rautjärvi, who has a BSc degree in Business Economics from the University of Jyväskylä, has considerable international Valtra experience. He first joined Valtra in 1994 as Group Financial Controller. Between 1999 – 2003 he led the South American finance team as Chief Financial Officer and Deputy to the Managing Director, Valtra do Brasil. He returned to Finland as Director MIS Valtra EAME and his most recent appointment has been as Marketing Director for Valtra EAME.
Gary Collar, Senior Vice President General Manager of AGCO EAME and EAPAC said,
"Jari has a strong Valtra pedigree and is highly respected within the Valtra team. His appointment comes at an exciting time as Valtra's business benefits from AGCO's recent investments both in new manufacturing facilities and new product developments. Jari is eminently qualified to lead Valtra through the future opportunities and growth that lie ahead."
Matti Ruotsala, Valtra's previous Managing Director has accepted a position outside the agricultural machinery industry and will be leaving AGCO on 31 August. During this interim period, he will be continuing in an advisory capacity to Mr. Rautjärvi to ensure a smooth transition.
