Kent County Show receives advance bookings

Kent businesses are being urged to book early for the 2012 Kent County Show as organisers are for the first time offering a 5% discount on trade stands for those based in the county.

The agricultural show on July 13, 14, and 15 at the Kent Showground, Detling, near Maidstone, is set to attract more than 80,000 visitors as the spirit to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and the Olympics will ensure a memorable event.

The Kent County Agricultural Society, which organises the show, is receiving much interest from many countywide industries with trade stand sales already selling well.

Its new early booking discount is to encourage many more Kent businesses to showcase the great variety of products and services available in the county.

Many of the early bookings are from new exhibitors eager to be part of the county’s biggest and best show, now in its 83rd year. Sponsorship opportunities are also available for the highly publicised event.

The Kent County Show includes a vast array of trade stands, a food hall displaying the county’s varied bounty, an EcoVillage, equine and livestock competitions, historic vehicles parades, plus spectacular arena displays which this year features the Bold Dog Lings motorcycle stunt team.

Roger Moore, Kent Showground’s executive manager, said: ’The Kent County Show provides a wonderful opportunity for businesses to meet with customers, network and be part of a show which supports the region. We’ve experienced a lot of early interest in trade stands with businesses wanting to be part of the show in what will be such a celebratory year for the nation.’
