Large crowd expected at Mid Wales farm dispersal auction

Auctioneers Halls are anticipated great interest in a genuine farm dispersal auction at Sarn, near Newtown later this month.

The auction at Wern Lane, Sarn is being organised James Evans, manager of Halls’ Welshpool office, on behalf of the Snead family of Old Hall Farm, Sarn on Friday, September 18 at 11am.

Going under the hammer will be a good selection of well maintained farm machinery and equipment associated with livestock farming and making fodder crops.

Lots include a Deutz Fahr Agroplus 95 four wheel drive tractor with power loader, a Ford 3000 tractor, a Mitsubishi L200 pick up, a Kawasaki KLF 3000 quad bike, Ifor Williams trailers, a New Farm GEM 400 sprayer and Votex PT 10 foot pasture topper and a Fella 2 drum mower.

In addition there will be a large selection of livestock feeding and handling equipment suitable for the autumn and winter.


Following the dispersal sale, Halls will also auction the winter grass keep of 94 acres at Hopton Hill Farm, Sarn and 43 acres at Gwernywydd, Sarn.

“We are anticipating a high level of interest from farmers as this is a genuine farm dispersal sale of well maintained machinery and equipment,” said Mr Evans.
