Milk Link Awards success at Royal Highland Show
Milk Link cheese makers triumphed at this year’s Royal Highland Show, with its creameries collecting nine awards. Cadog Mature Cheddar from its Welsh creamery, Llandyrnog, was named the Supreme Champion, as well as winning the Best Cheddar and Best Non Scottish Cheddar titles. In total, Milk Link cheeses won four Golds, four Silvers and one Bronze award at the show.
In the Scottish categories, Lockerbie Creamery also saw a fantastic set of results, winning Best Scottish Cheddar for its mild cheddar and Reserve Champion for its unsalted butter. The creamery went on to collect Gold for its salted butter and three Silver awards in the Mild Cheddar and Extra Mature Cheddar categories.
Milk Link won a further Silver award for its Devon-based Taw Valley Mature Cheddar and a Bronze for its Cadog Extra Mature Cheddar.
