NFU Cymru Deputy President to Address Carmarthenshire AGM

NFU Cymru members are invited to the Carmarthenshire NFU Cymru Annual General Meeting (AGM), on Tuesday, 9 December 2014, at 7.30pm, in the Plough, Rhosmaen, Llandeilo.

Addressing the meeting, John Davies, NFU Cymru Deputy President, will discuss the key issues within the industry including; CAP Reform, Rural Development Plan Wales (RDP), Bovine TB and current difficulties within the dairy and red meat sectors. This will then be followed by a questions and answer session.

John Davies farms with his family in Merthyr Cynog, near Brecon. He is married with two children. He has 100 suckler cows, 1,000 ewes, and runs a silage contracting business and holiday accommodation.

Carmarthenshire NFU Cymru County Chairman, Rhys Jones, said, “We are very grateful to John Davies for agreeing to address the AGM. This meeting is open to all NFU Cymru members and I do hope we will get a good turnout, especially as we will be re-electing county officeholders.
