New pulse growers guide gives signposts for profitable pulse crops
Plant breeders Nickerson have published a Pulse Growers Guide to look at all aspects of successfully growing pulses for profit in 2008.
"Wall-to-wall wheat may be the phrase of the moment, but pulse prices have kept pace, and the extra agronomic benefits have not gone away," said Joss Vincent, the company's protein crops product manager. "The guide brings together all the key points to give growers signposts for a successful and profitable pulse crop in 2008."
"The guide is a reference source for pulse growers, so we have included information on markets and end user requirements as well as sections by leading experts on market prospects, variety development, crop establishment and crop management," he added.
