New southern area manager for Ufac-UK

Mike Chown has joined specialist feed supplement manufacturer, Ufac-UK as area business manager (south). He will be tasked with increasing the range and sales volume of the company’s products through dedicated Ufac merchants south of Birmingham, extending from Kent to Cornwall.

Mike has vast experience in the supply industry ’ with both moist and dry feeds ’ backing up merchants and farmer-customers. He has 25 years practical knowledge in semi-complete and TMR on-farm ruminant diets.

He joins Ufac from Northampton-based James & Sons (Grain Merchants) Ltd, where his was chief operating officer responsible for all sales management and technical support.

A farmer’s son from the West Country, with both a college and university education, he gained practical knowledge as herdsman and dairy manager before taking sales and management roles with a number of regional and national companies.

He lives with his partner in Tamworth, Staffordshire, and has a grown-up daughter.
