New territory manager at John Deere
Following James Ashworth's appointment on June 1 as product manager for green crop harvesting products and national fleet accounts, John Deere has announced that Mark Smith has taken over his position as territory manager for Wales and the West Midlands, looking after a network of 13 John Deere dealers.
Mark, who is from Peterborough and completed a National Diploma in agricultural engineering at Rycotewood College, joined John Deere in August 1995 following a dealer apprenticeship and several years with another machinery manufacturer.
He worked initially alongside John Deere dealers in East Anglia for three years as an area manager, product support (AMPS), before becoming product specialist for tractors and loaders. Mark's new appointment is also effective from June 1, 2003.
