LMC Promote Northern Ireland Farm Quality Assured Mince
The Livestock and Meat Commission for Northern Ireland is once again airing its successful beef mince advertising campaign on channels UTV, Channel 4 and GMTV to inform consumers of the quality production systems that underpin each stage of production in Northern Ireland.

The ad which was designed to give assurances to the consumer about the quality of the farms on which their beef has been produced was last aired in January 2007 and according to Nielsen research reached 81% of housekeepers with messages on traceability and production.
Naomi Waite, Marketing Director at LMC comments, "We want to highlight the versatility of minced beef and how it makes the perfect ingredient for a wide range of convenient, nutritious dishes that the whole family will enjoy. This is particularly important during this difficult economic as Northern Ireland Farm Quality Assured mince is not only versatile and nutritious but offers good value for money also which is of course essential to the shopper."
The advertisement is targeted at consumers who undertake the majority of food purchases, usually women with families and children and also restaurants, hospitals, schools, distributors and opinion leaders.
The TV campaign this time round is supported by an outdoor poster campaign plus instore sampling with store walkers distributing attractive recipe leaflets throughout the month of March in the major retailers in Northern Ireland.
The long term impact of this campaign will be further strengthened by cookery demonstrations in schools ensuring consumers are made aware that FQA beef mince is a safe, traceable and nutritious food choice and an integral part of a balanced diet.
