Novartis is major sponsor of new sheep event
Novartis has re-affirmed its commitment to the sheep industry, and its continued support of the National Sheep Association, with the announcement that it will be the key sponsor of a new sheep event - the NSA Central Region Winter Fair - in 2011.
The one-day show will be held on Thursday January 27, 2011, at Bakewell Auction Mart in Derbyshire, and is set to provide a wealth of useful technical and business information on a range of key industry issues and provide valuable direction for sheep producers.
"After the successful launch of ZOLVIX® - the Novartis’ new 4-AD class
(monepantel*) wormer - in 2010, this event marks yet another positive step forward for the industry and sheep producers," says Novartis Animal Health’s James Crawford.
"The future is looking better than ever, thanks to continued investment and technical and professional development. And this fair is set to showcase some of the best that the UK sheep industry has to offer.
"For Novartis, it’s a welcome addition to the major sponsorship deals that we have with other similar industry events in other regions of the UK. And we will continue to support these shows, for the good of sheep producers and the sheep industry as a whole," adds Mr Crawford.
This new event will indeed serve the entire sheep industry - from those involved in production through to the consumer - and there will be something of interest to all professionals in all streams of activity. The positive aspects of the UK sheep industry will also be promoted to a wider audience.
