Recession could provide boost for agriculture

The recession could tempt more people to return to work on British farms, claims a long-standing member of the National Farmers’ Union.

Mark Ensoll, from Hunton, near Maidstone, was this week presented with a long service award to mark 30 years’ dedication to the industry.

The classic car enthusiast said agriculture had altered dramatically since 1978 and that the current state of the economy made further changes likely.
