Renton appointed as new Milk Link marketing director



Milk Link, one of the UK’s leading producers of cheese and dairy products, has announced the appointment of Hamish Renton to the new role of Marketing Director spearheading the growth of the business into added value, branded, and licenced dairy related products.

Hamish joins the business from Uniq, where he was Managing Director of Riviera Desserts, during which time he pioneered the development of a new range of value added desserts. Formed in the year 2000, Milk Link employs c.1,300 people at seven processing facilities located across the UK and in 2007/08 generated a turnover of over £520m. The new Marketing Director is a member of a newly formed Senior Executive Team, and is the first senior Marketing appointment within the organisation.

"My previous MD role in the production-led business Riviera, and my marketing experience as Tesco’s head of ’Own brand, Diet and Health’ makes me well equipped to contribute to Milk Link’s exciting plans for sustained future growth and development".

Milk Link is widely regarded as the UK’s most progressive integrated dairy business, entirely owned by 1,600 British dairy farmers. They are the largest producer of British cheese and in addition manufacture a wide range of dairy products including long life milk, creams, extended shelf life products, flavoured milk drinks and milk powders.
