Running up donations for RABI
NFU Cymru’s Farm Policy Adviser, Dafydd Jarrett and Anglesey NFU Cymru Group Secretary, Emyr Davies, are preparing to take to the streets of London in aid of The Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution (RABI).
Dafydd and Emyr will be taking on the challenge of the British 10k London Road Run, on Sunday, 11 July 2010, along with the 100 strong RABI team.
Dafydd Jarrett said, "RABI is a superb grant-making charity that supports members of the farming community facing need, hardship or distress. The charity, which has helped so many is celebrating its 150th anniversary this year and what better way to celebrate than running through the world famous sites of London with colleagues from across Wales and England. Unfortunately, I have an injured knee but I am determined to complete the course as it is for such a good cause."
"The countdown is underway," said Emyr Davies. "The training has been pretty relentless in this hot weather, but strangely enjoyable too, so hopefully it’ll all hold me in good stead for the big day."
