RUSSIA BANS MEAT FROM 53 ESTABLISHMENTS.

Russia has a ban currently in place, on 53 meat processing companies, from as far a-field as Brazil, Argentina, The United States and Canada as well as Spain, Italy, France, Germany, Denmark and Hungary, Argentina and Brazil.

The main complaint appears to be antibiotic levels that exceed Russian Health laws. The ban was lifted on Brazil on Tuesday 13 January however in 2008, over 100 meat plants received bans including 19 plants in one day in the United States.

Yes indeed Russia are the worlds biggest meat buyers, however this irresponsible churlish nonsense makes a mockery of any basic rules and laws set down in the western world.
