Strong growth for live cattle exports to SE Asia
There is further evidence of a sustained boom in Australian live cattle exports to South East Asia.
Meat and Livestock Australia says over 540,000 Australian cattle have been exported to Indonesia in the last financial year.
Live export manager Michael Finucan says there has been significant growth in the trade during the last two years.
"We have just got the figures in for the end of the financial year which show that the live exports to Indonesia are up another 90,000 head, which is 540,000 cattle for the year," he said.
