Tractor and groundcare specialist, Kubota UK, is continuing to invest in its local Thame community by partnering with MP Cricket Academy in Towersey and loaning the club a new B2350 tractor and mower.

The top of the range tractor, which incorporates a powerful 23HP E-TVCS diesel engine, will be used for cutting and rolling the pitches and outfield to improve the quality of the playing surface, allowing for matches to take place all year round.

Manoj Parmar, Director of MP Cricket Club Academy, commented: “The club’s plans for the 2015 season have taken another massive boost thanks to the generous partnership made with Kubota.

“The B2350 will be essential in cutting and maintaining the playing surface. Our summer programme has just begun so the tractor will be put to good use to ensure that the grass is in top condition and ready for the many junior and adult matches that will be taking place across the next few months.

‘We have used Kubota machinery in the past and have always been impressed by their reliability and quality build, so of course we were exceptionally grateful when the company gave us a long term loan.”

Dave Roberts, Kubota UK’s Managing Director, said: “Kubota has always had a philosophy of nurturing local talent. We’re thrilled to be involved with MP Cricket Club Academy and especially glad to be supporting the local Thame community in which we have been based for more than 35 years.”

The Hydraulic Bi-Speed Turn feature on the B2350 activates automatically when the front wheel turning angle exceeds 35 degrees, allowing the team at the cricket club to make smoother and tighter turns without damaging the grass on the pitch.
