Tods Murray to expand rural property team



Tods Murray LLP has launched its expanded Rural Property & Business team.

The new team, led by partner Sarah Cudworth and supported by partners Peter Misselbrook, Gordon Cunningham, and Richard Leslie, is a dynamic new grouping and brings a depth of knowledge and experience in rural issues together with the expertise of a full service law firm, which is essential to clients wrestling with the pressures and challenges of modern land use and ownership.

The team embraces a number of specialist areas of expertise including renewable energy and forestry, which prompted Clive Anderson, the President of The Woodland Trust to write an exclusive article for the website.

Mr Anderson said:

"Managing woodland areas is hugely complex and requires co-ordinated and joined up legal advice across tax, environmental and business matters. The Tods Murray team has over the years provided legal support which the Woodland Trust in Scotland has found invaluable."

Tods Murray’s RPB team acts for major sporting and agricultural estates, businesses, charities, families and tenant farmers the length and breadth of Scotland. The decision to expand the team in terms of personnel and expertise is in response to client needs.
