UNITED STATES-MEAT PACKERS HOLIDAYS.

The following is a schedule for U.S. meat packer

slaughtering operations that will be closed on either Good Friday or the Monday

following Easter.


The information was provided from company officials, livestock buyers and

dealers.

BEEF PROCESSING SCHEDULE

Cargill Meat Solutions

The plants will operate both days as normal.


Tyson Fresh Meats

The company will operate as normal during the period.

PORK PROCESSING SCHEDULE

Cargill Meat Solutions

The plants will operate as normal.

Hatfield Quality Meats

The plant will be closed on Good Friday, open Monday after Easter.

Hormel Foods/Quality Pork

The company does not release information on slaughter schedules but

livestock market managers and dealers said the Austin, Minn., and Fremont,

Neb., plants will be closed Monday after Easter.

Routh Packing, Sandusky, Ohio

The plant will be closed on Good Friday, open Monday.

Smithfield Foods/Morrell/Farmland

The company does not release information on processing schedules, but hog

market managers and dealers said the Tar Heel and Clinton, N.C., plants, along

with the Virginia facility and three Farmland plants will be closed Monday.

JBS/Swift

The company does not release holiday slaughter schedules but market

managers and dealers said the Worthington, Minn., plant will not operate on

Monday.

Tyson Fresh Meats (IBP)

All plants will operate as normal.
