Wet weather workwear
Getting out of bed in the mornings can be hard enough, but getting up to work in the fields in torrential rain and sub-zero temperatures requires willpower – and Dickies waterproof workwear. The All Weather Suit is sufficiently lightweight for work while still affording excellent protection against the rain. The jacket and trousers are made from PVC-coated nylon with stitched and tape-welded seams for superior water resistance. The jacket has a corduroy collar, a hood for when the heavens open and several good size pockets. The zip fastening has a storm-flap giving added protection from the wind and rain, while the trousers have side access and an adjustable ankle width allowing them to be easily pulled over boots.
A trouser-jacket combination is also available in modern Fieldtex fabric. This outstanding breathable fabric is not only waterproof and wind resistant but it also has a built-in stretch factor, allowing greater flexibility of movement. However tough the job, Fieldtex is tougher still – you can stretch it, machine-wash it, pour oil and petrol over it and it will bounce back as good as new. For a watertight finish all seams are stitched and tape-welded. Durable, versatile and virtually noiseless, the Fieldtex range is designed for energetic outdoor activities. A coverall and a bib and brace are also available in this fabric.
Offering protection against both the cold and the rain is the Waterproof Padded Coverall. Manufactured from a PVC coated Nylon fabric this excellent winter garment has a quilted inner lining. The seams have been stitched and tape welded and there is a detachable hood. Other features include a two way zip front closure with velcro fastening storm flap, a detachable hood, and an elasticated panel around the back of the waist for ease of movement.
Dickies supplies a range of Wellington boots suitable for agricultural workers. One of the most popular styles is the Landmaster Safety Boot which not only keeps your feet dry, but the steel toe-cap complying with EN345 (200 joules) offers protection against crush injuries. The sturdy sole is resistant to fats, oils and petrol to minimise the risk of slipping. Made from 100% polyurethane with a layer of thermal insulation, these boots provide great wet weather protection.
