Wodonga cattle $50 to $100 dearer
Cattle continued to hold their values inline with the New Year price rise when livestock agents sold 2800 head at Wodonga last week.
Paull and Scollard and Brian Unthank Rodwell, Albury conducted the Wodonga Special Store Sale on Thursday, where values were up to $100 dearer in some places.
Livestock agent with Paull and Scollard, Steve Paull, said prices for cows and calves were $50 to $100 dearer than at recent sales.
He said steer values remained firm and heavy steers fetched 165-175 cents a kilogram (live).
Meanwhile, the lighter steers made 180-210c/kg and heifers were quoted as 5-10c/kg dearer than recent markets.
