Westsyde is a former farmhouse and steadings set to form a traditional courtyard. The house and steading legs are of white painted stone construction under slated roofs.
The main house occupies the rear and western steadings with the eastern steading is presently used for general purpose stores or with the appropriate permissions, warrants and consents the potential for further integrated or separate residential accommodation. The western steading was developed in 2005 and now provides bright airy family accommodation over 2 easily run levels.

Westsyde is situated 2 miles to the west of Kilmacolm village. The property is located about 250 yards back from the Old Greenock Road (B788) and has a prominent south facing position from which there are open aspects out across the upper Gryffe Valley and away toward Misty Law and the hills in the distance.
Kilmacolm village has a fine range of local shops and services that easily cater for everyday needs and requirements.
Further more extensive shopping is available at Greenock, 6 miles. The Braehead retail village at 14 miles is a covered mall type environment with most of the better known high street multiples, an IKEA as well as the Sainsbury and Marks & Spencer anchor stores. Glasgow city centre is a further 4 miles and offers all the higher educational, cultural, leisure, retail and professional services normally associated with a major international city centre.
The village has a reputable local primary school and also independent St Columba's junior and senior schools with their enviable record of academic achievement.
Surrounding countryside, some of the most attractive in West Renfrewshire, offers an excellent range of outdoor pursuits. There are many walks and cycle routes, field sports are available in the district, river and loch fishing are available locally, and as with most parts of Scotland, one is never too far from a golf course; Kilmacolm has a scenic and challenging 18 hole course.
Inland sailing is available at Lochwinnoch as part of the Clyde and Muirshiel country park, and the Clyde estuary offers some of the most scenic coastal sailing in the UK with associated marina and chandlery services at both Inverkip and Largs.
For those who are required to travel, the M8 motorway corridor provides swift motor car access to main centres, the airport and the developing Ayrshire coastline. Kilmacolm has a bus service to Glasgow, and Johnstone (8 miles) has a main line rail station with a regular park and ride service to Glasgow and Ayrshire.

General Purpose Shed
At the western side is an open fronted four bay steel portal frame general purpose shed clad in box profiled steel and under corrugated sheet roof. Concrete floor.
A driveway with mown grass edges leads to a gravel surfaced turning and vehicular hard standing area at the rear of Westsyde. At the front flagstone steps lead to a terrace and sheltered deck area itself fronted by a small lawn with raised stocked bed. A tarmacadam hard standing area is fronted by a lawn with rhododendrons and assorted shrub bush and border plants before leading into a pleasant woodland. At the rear a gravel courtyard, rear flagstone terrace and lawns are fringed by dry stone walls with mature ash trees and recently planted conifers. The gardens have recently been 75% re-fenced and are stock proof.
Extends to about 10 acres in all, is in 2 main compartments directly to the east and southern sides of the house. The fields are to permanent pasture and offer good opportunities to graze horses, or hobby farm. The fields are currently let out seasonally to a local farmer.
Two surrounding land owners have in the past granted permission for rough shooting. The terrain is well suited for snipe, woodcock, hare, rabbit and duck flighting. New owners of Westsyde would require to re-establish the permissions.
