Accommodation Details

Hazelwood Farm bed and breakfast
Peacefully situated on the first hill rising from the Vale of York and in an area steeped in history. Hazelwood Farm is midway between Thirsk, home of James Herriott, and the medieval city of York. An arable farm set in 100 acre, the main farmhouse dates from 1893, whilst the modern guest annexe was constructed in 2006.

The beautiful village of Crayke, reputedly where the Grand Old Duke of York marched his 10,000 men up the hill!, is but a short 10 minute walk away with it's award winning Inn and 15th century castle and church.

The local area is swathed in beautiful undulating countryside, with many excellent walks and cycle routes from the door. There is also a wealth of National Trust and English Heritage properties and historic houses nearby.
