Situated in County Durham and on the borders of the beautiful dales of Durham, Teesdale and Weardale. New Cottage is located on a working family farm, which is a heifer and bull-rearing establishment. Awarded 4* rating by Visit Britain.
It’s a paradise for walkers, cyclists, history seekers or simply a place in which to relax and enjoy the gorgeous scenery as you drive, cycle (please bring your own bike) or stroll around the area.

This well presented single storey property has ample car parking with good exterior lighting. There is a small front patio area providing an attractive seating area using an old church pew and small wooden patio furniture. A good rural environment situated in an elevated position surrounded by beautiful views. Lots of guest information is also available.
Situated on a working farm and has been described as a delightful little cottage in a very peaceful location. The accommodation is very cosy and comfortable and all on one level. The panoramic views from the lounge are a never-ending source of delight - they are stunning, and made even more beautiful in the winter when there is a light dusting of snow.
The cottage is so accessible for country walks and sightseeing, and being able to start walks from the cottage is a real bonus. The sunsets are truly magnificent and very romantic.
The open plan lounge/kitchen area is a good space to dine, lounge and cook in comfort, with a newly designed and fitted kitchen area. The bedroom consists of fitted furniture with double bed. A spacious shower room includes a permanent wall-mounted seat. These rooms lead off from a small hallway that has hanging space for cloaks.
You are welcome for short breaks, long breaks or one-night stopovers.
The farm is a working farm and if you would like to have a look around, you are welcome, however the hosts must accompany you. Just ask and a convenient time can be arranged for you.
Note: New Cottage is a no smoking establishment and sorry no pets allowed.
